ArmorTech Custom Powder Coatings is uniquely suited to handle your most demanding finishing needs. Our small size, experience, personalized service, and technical knowledge allows us to take on jobs that bigger shops seldom accept. Each of these four traits is central to our mission: providing you with 100% satisfaction.
Size: When choosing a powder coater, size should be considered. At ArmorTech, we keep a small but technically proficient staff in our 3,400-square-foot shop, so your parts are carefully supervised through every step of the process.

| About ArmorTech Powder Coating |
Experience
In any highly technical trade, there's no substitute for experience. At ArmorTech, we take the lessons we've learned in more than 30 years as one of the East Coast's largest metal finishing job shops and apply them to every work order that comes through our doors. Where many larger companies employ a one-size-fits-all strategy, we combine a mastery of surface preparation, coating material chemistries, and application methods in approaching each part we finish. We only consider our work complete after you, the customer, are 100% satisfied with the results.
Personalized Service
At ArmorTech, we sit down with every one of our customers and make detailed notes of their wishes. For out-of-area jobs we prefer "live" phone calls first, not just to document your special needs, but to hear your voice as well. It's our view that the best way to earn your business is to speak with you one on one. We also invite you to visit us at anytime and view our shop and showroom.
Technical Knowledge
Whether you need new deck plates or mechanical fittings for your boat, wheels or trim for your car, or simply want to return the initial luster to your metal furniture or sculptures, we can help you restore corroded parts and bring back their original shine. That's because we stay on top of the latest tools and techniques in the coating industry, which changes each day as new and better products hit the market. We keep up with the most recent trade journals and magazines, as well as speaking with our knowledgeable customers and suppliers. The chemistries of a decade ago have already been eclipsed by more effective and environmentally safe alternatives.
If you're a serious hobbyist -- a boater, a biker, an off-roader, or a furniture collector -- entrust your finishing needs to a company that understands your passion and can accommodate your most exacting demands.
We thank you for the chance to introduce you to our suite of custom services and look forward to helping you with your finishing needs.

| What is Powder Coating? |
Powder coating is a completely dry finishing technique used on thousands of consumer and industrial goods. The automotive and maritime industries, appliance makers, architects, and builders all rely on powder coating for its decorative and protective properties, which include a lustrous shine, outstanding color selection, and a durable, long-lasting finish.
Powder coating is smoother, longer lasting, cleaner, less expensive, and more ecologically friendly than any other finishing technique. No toxins or aerosols are used.
Most people don't realize the staggering number of products that take advantage of powder coating's unique benefits. Metal furniture, baby strollers, office supplies, lighting fixtures, and appliances are just a few of the everyday items that feature powder-coated protection. But what accounts for the technique's widespread adoption? To see why powder coating is the fastest-growing finishing process in the country, it's helpful to know a bit more about how it works.
Unlike other metal-finishing techniques that depend on chemicals and solvents, powder coating uses electrically charged and finely ground pigments and resins that adhere to your parts surface. That part is then heated in a curing oven, which bonds the powder to its grounded surface to produce a smooth, even finish. You're left with a beautiful, uniform coating that looks like paint but acts like armor. |
